Hybrid 2 days home and 3 days office

Job Description Summary

Environmental Compliance Specialist will be supporting the day-to-day business operations in the department. They will work closely with customers and coordinate daily activities within the department and over see headquarters as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the regulatory compliance for emissions compliance related requirements, which includes delegated assembly contracts, monthly reports, annual affidavits and related documents.
• Collect, review and process monthly reports and annual reports from OEMs, Distributors and Captive companies.
• Provide guidance and education to distributors on the compliance system, monthly reporting data collection as well as interpretation and compliance policies
• Work with distributors and OEMs on daily basis for continuous improvement on their knowledge and awareness of emission compliance topics, reporting, tracking requirements
• Responsible for exempt engines management such as Test Exempt, Replacement, Export, NSE etc. Tracking and reporting per EPA’s requirements.
• Assist in researching various chemical regulations, product safety regulations and related compliance requirements.
• Process various emission label requests from customers and record proper evidence.
• Review emissions data requests from customers and submit to Head office for processing.
• Prepare and publish emission compliance bulletins


Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Associates Degree in Automotive Technology or related field or currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program
• 3 – 5 years’ experience with off-road industrial gasoline and/or diesel engines
• Broad knowledge of environmental topics is preferred but not required ( EPA 40CFR, 13CCR and ECCC regulations)
• Knowledge of Compression Ignition and Spark Ignition engines
• Broad understanding of the EPA TSCA, Canada Prop 65, Canada TSCA and EU REACH, RoHS and related regulations.
• Basic knowledge of engineering concepts
• Ability to read, understand and prepare technical bulletins and documents
• Working knowledge of SAP is preferred but not required
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to travel less than 20%, possibly on last minute notice

Compliance Environmental Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities

· Process Chemical and Material compliance inquiries from customers.

· Coordinate with related departments and suppliers to obtain disclosures for customers.

· Support department in reporting and record keeping for the agencies.

· Assist in researching various chemical regulations, product safety regulations and related compliance requirements.

· Process various emission label requests from customers and record proper evidence.

· Process customer’s requests for MSHA kits and track them for agency audits

· Review emissions data requests from customers and submit to Japan for processing.

· Attain compliance by isolating and resolving non-compliance issues;

· Provide support coordinating and participate in the Compliance Workshop and present the required compliance presentations to the audience as required.

· Prepare and publish emission compliance bulletins

· Provide data to the manager when requested for quarterly and annual reporting to agencies

Bilingual Technical Equipment Service Specialist for OEM

You will be supporting all dealers on a technical level and working from corporate head office. This role also be Hybrid working from office 3 days a week and from home 2 days a week.

Duties and responsibilities

Provide dealer service staff and internal staff with technical information and support in the areas of Product Support ( Agricultural, Construction and Compact equipment)
Support dealers and customers in the areas of hydraulic and electrical systems, gas and diesel engines, transmission systems.
Provide technical support and advice to dealer technicians, field staff and internal staff by way of phone, email, Dealer Link, and training seminars
Maintain Dealer Link web system and internal database with the most recent and accurate information from plant factories and local vendors
Issue Service Bulletins, Field campaigns, Technical tips, and Technical Service Reports
Assist on managing warranty claim processing and adjudication from dealer submission to resolution
Identify potential product concerns, maintain the Technical Problem Log sheet, and issue Flash reports
Recall and examine equipment/parts, and recommend product improvement ideas to the team as well as to the factories/vendors
Organize and conduct school preparation meetings with internal staff
Take an active role in the organization and delivery of technical service training

Requirements

College Diploma or Certified technician, preferred experience working with construction, Heavy equipment, Agricultural or compact equipment
Bilingual French is a must
Extensive knowledge and hands on experience of hydraulic and electrical systems, gas and diesel engines, and transmission systems for agricultural and construction equipment
Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
Computer skills including MS office applications and Lotus notes
Able to work with minimal supervision, and team player
Some travel required
Time management skills and customer handling skills

Product Construction Equipment Technician

Duties and responsibilities:

• Inspect, test, and evaluate new Equipment products. In both the Workshop and during Field testing
• Work in a mix of office & workshop environment (60/40 split, respectively)
• Work safely in a group or as an individual in Research & Development workshop. (the workshop is fully equipped with all necessary tools and equipment required of a Product Engineering Technician)
• Develop and introduce new products, equipment, and attachments relating to Construction, Compact, Turf and Agricultural equipment
• Complete Market studies for new products and thoroughly investigate specification requirements
• Manage projects through prototype stage, testing, evaluation, final approval and final production follow up
• Provide technical support and high-level training of the new products to members of other departments, dealers across Canada & prototype test customers
• Properly and thoroughly document all test results, equipment option fitments, meeting minutes & Dealer/ Customer visits
• Conduct and coordinate a variety of offsite field testing including cold weather testing, and preparing detailed reports, regarding the machine’s performance, modifications made & future development requirements
• Upload accurate BOM (Bill of materials) listings on Dealer Link for current and non- current models. Maintain Correct Machine options list and attachment Compatibility information sheets for all Canadian Dealers

Requirements:

• Graduate of Technical College or University
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and practical skills
• Must hold a Technician license for, Heavy Equipment or Farm Equipment
(4-5 years’ experience is preferred)
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills and listening skills
• In depth knowledge and hands on experience with engines, power trains, hydraulics, electrical systems as relates to agricultural, turf and construction machinery
• Background in the Agricultural, Turf & Construction equipment Industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good Computer skills (experience with Excel, Word, Diagnostic software)
• Up to 30% travel, with travel opportunities across Canada, the USA and Internationally

Lead Mechanical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Embedded Engineering

What you'll do:

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be the subject-matter expert and technical lead on advanced engineering projects and complex mechanical engineering issues. This role works closely with internal and external stakeholders including contract manufacturers and suppliers.

How you'll make an impact
• Lead and oversee advanced engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership to the engineering team, guiding them in solving complex engineering problems and optimizing engineering processes.
• Develop and maintain detailed mechanical designs, including harness and cable schematics, utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling tools (e.g., SolidWorks).

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on injection molding processes and other relevant manufacturing technologies.
• Mentor and guide engineers and provide technical expertise and support.

What you'll bring to the role

• Bachelors in Engineering - Mechanical Engineering
• 10 - 12 years of experience in the following areas:
• Mechanical engineering, design and development.
• Designing complex mechanical components and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks), while ensuring cost efficiency and quality.
• Applying mechanical analysis and simulation tools, such as finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
• Prototyping, testing, and validating mechanical systems and components.
• Leading and managing complex engineering projects from concept through to delivery.
• Collaborating and communicating with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, suppliers and contractors.
• Identifying risks in projects and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
• Leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Electromechanical Injection molded automotive products.
• SolidWorks modeling, advanced surface modeling (preferred).
• Working with Ruggedized devices and extreme condition testing (preferred).
• Experience with SAE J1455, SAE J1692 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Working in the automotive, telematics, manufacturing industry.
