Senior Project Manager – Capital(CAPEX) & Manufacturing Engineering
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead complex capital expenditure (CapEx) projects across both greenfield and or brownfield environments. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between structural execution and industrial efficiency, leveraging a strong background in Manufacturing Engineering and a proven track record of managing large-scale industrial construction projects from conception to commissioning.
As a PMP-certified professional, you will implement rigorous project management methodologies to ensure facilities are built, expanded, and optimized safely, on time, and within budget. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, external contractors, and executive leadership to transform raw sites (greenfield) and integrate advanced manufacturing lines into existing operational footprints (brownfield).
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Construction Management
• End-to-End Execution: Lead the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of multi-million dollar greenfield (new facility construction) and brownfield (expansions, retrofits, and line modifications) projects.
• Brownfield Integration: Manage a complex brownfield projects on renovating on land that has been previously developed, utilized for industrial or commercial purposes.
• Greenfield Development: Oversee greenfield projects from site preparation, civil works, and structural erection through to facility dry-run and final handover.
• Contractor & Vendor Management: Lead the selection, onboarding, and management of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) firms, general contractors, and specialized equipment vendors.
Manufacturing & Process Engineering
• Operational Readiness: Ensure a seamless transition from the construction phase to steady-state manufacturing operations, providing technical documentation and training frameworks to the production teams.
• Equipment & Line Design: Collaborate with automation, tooling, and process engineers to design and layout advanced manufacturing lines.
• Commissioning & Qualification: Oversee the installation, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of new manufacturing equipment,
Project Governance (PMP Methodologies)
• Scope & Risk Management: Establish comprehensive project charters, work breakdown structures (WBS), and rigorous change-control processes. Conduct proactive risk assessments to mitigate supply chain, labor, and regulatory bottlenecks.
• Financial Accountability: Develop detailed cost estimates, track CapEx cash flows, manage contingency funds, and provide regular financial forecasts to executive stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience within an EPC, Construction, industrial, automotive, or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Proven Track Record: Direct experience managing both greenfield construction (building from the ground up) and/or brownfield construction (retrofitting/expanding active facilities).
• Engineering Background: Strong foundational experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer, knowledge of plant layouts, equipment installation, and industrial utilities (compressed air, power distribution, HVAC).
Competencies
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills when managing diverse contractor teams and internal stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of construction safety protocols (OSHA/local regulations) and building codes.
• Proficiency with project management software, ERP systems, and CAD software (for reviewing layouts).
